For those who haven't seen, a new game launched tonight on Hive called Holozing,if you have any. After earning some (since there is no starting liquidity or drop so it will mean claiming), there will also be possibilities to earn via staking rewards and providing liquidity (after a powerdown) through TribalDex. put together by a small team headed-up by @acidyo. While the game itself isn't expected to launch fully until Q2, 2024, it is possible to participate in the token distribution now, using HIVE delegations and POSH tokens,
You can read the Whitepaper to find out more about the game itself. At this point though, there isn't a whole lot to go on, other than it is similar in some sense to Pokemon with collection and battling, and it is going to be a 3D gaming experience - which will be a welcome change to most of what we have seen on Hive so far.
However, even though the game isn't out yet, it is possible to start the "collection" phase now, as even though there are no cute creatures, there is the possibility to use Hive stake to earn ZING tokens. Using HIVE STAKE as an earning mechanism is a huge advantage and, it is probably better than just dropping on stakeholders directly.
Normally, when tokens are dropped on stake directly, it goes to everyone, regardless of whether they are interested in the game or not. This means "free money" regardless of the value of the token. When stake is delegated to earn it though, it comes at a cost to the stakeholder, which means there is a tradeoff on the immediate earning ability from curation, and the future potential of the token in question - in this case ZING. This means that the people who are willing to trade some of their curation for ZING, are more likely to be those who are interested in the game, or see that the earning potential is higher than the curation return on that stake.
The rewards are paid out on the hour and are currently in three reward components; staking, POSH and delegation. After signing up on the website last night, I chose to delegate some of my stake early, because not only do I want to be part of the game later, but I also want to take advantage of being among the first earners. With a limited distribution each day, it means that it is spread amongst delegators. Currently, there are almost 1.1M HIVE POWER delegated to the project's delegation account, @zingtoken
When claiming, it looks something like this:
After claiming, it goes straight into ZING staking, where it can be unstaked (after 7 days). At that point, it would be possible to move it to TribalDex and become a Liquidity Provider, or to the marketplace.
Whilst this is what's available to "do" right now, there is a bit of a sneak peak into what is to come by way of creatures to collect on the "inventory" page. The art is great and borrows from Manga and Anime.
Then of course, there is the rarity and how many owned etc, that most will be familiar with if playing these kinds of games like Splinterlands. Each creature will of course have stats, but as this is a training game for casual and competitive gamers, the stats will change depending on how the healer trains them. Not only that, when catching them in the wild, they can also have different starting stats, which puts game into the collection also, where collecting rarer and better foundation stats will affect outcomes.
There has not been that much mentioned yet about the details of gameplay or how it will look to begin with, but as the project team progresses with development, more will be released, including a few teasers also. What I do think though is that since this includes both casual gaming ability as well as competitive gaming including earning, it might appeal to more people, especially at the start, when gamer investors have the chance to get in early.
Crypto projects are difficult to build and develop, but on Hive the barrier is lower in many respects, because there is a community to back the projects that people see value in. And, when it is backed through delegation, there is very little risk. However, more than that, these types of projects help build the community too, not only by bringing in new participants, but also engaging the current community also, and building more network throughout Hive.
I am looking forward to what the current team comes up with and how it evolves over time, as these kinds of projects tend to, as the ecosystem changes. And with something like this, if the timing coincides with a bull market, things can change very rapidly, and develop at a far greater speed too.
Let's see where this one goes with Hive!!

Yeah looks pretty cool, the delegation for Token rewards is a great idea
Might be a fun game to play too!
thanks for the update, looklooklike it will be an interesting gaming experience.
Should be. I am interested in how they handle the 3D :
I wish I had spare HP or POSH tokeb to delegate :)
:)
That's a hell of a delegation. I am too fond of my HP for that.
Early days mean larger returns, Delegations can be brought back :)
I wish them good luck but am wary about any new game now.
Nice share! I also read about it yesterday from other Hive post have also delegated some HP yesterday and I have about 4 ZING as of now! Looking forward to more quality games on Hive.
Yep. What is nice is everyone starts at zero, so there is at least some chance ant a decent distribution - even though it is using Hive stake.
It's great to see new projects developed around Hive, and games, if the rules are creative and well-balanced and the art is nice are always welcome. I also love the idea of being able to get involved before the game is released and just from staking Hive. Games also are a great way to onboard new users to HIVE which may just join the game initially but get involved in other aspects later on
There is a lot to love about new projects that have surface level appeal and don't necessarily require knowing anything about blockchain to get started. I hope there will be real community support through content for this too.
Its always good to see new projects on HIVE. I tossed my hat in the ring with a delegation.
Good to hear!
The game seem to be cool. I'm very glad about this new game coming soon. People like me who were not able to benefit from Splinterlands when it was still new will be able to benefit from this one
It is a win win
I love that!
Are you delegating or will you buy some zing tokens when available?
very excited about this new game

Always good to get a bit of buzz out there!
yes it's true I also made a post about it.
you really earn a lot of ZING per hour . very nice
Hive can not support another game now.
Good idea with PVE.
People will get the tokens and sell the token. I have seen this multiple times.
I think it can in terms of what this is at this point. If waiting to build when the conditions are right, it will be too late. This might time well for better market conditions.
Yeah. Now it is a delegation. We sure can delegate.

Thanks for the information. I have delegated a small amount to start. I wish the project much success.
Have a nice day🙋
Hive gaming would certainly be one step ahead in making the dapp look attractive. Although this game would take time to be launched and onboarded properly, but I hope it gets popularity soon.
👍
It looks like an interesting game but I don't really know if I will be participating. My funds are short and I still want to increase my own HP to curate content. With rebellion coming out, I think I will probably sit this out. Good luck with the game though.
It is encouraging to see a lot of posts about Holozing. It's been a while since I've seen this much support for a Hive game. I guess it's because Acidyo is a part of the team, who is also very active in Hive, and people want to support him. Unfortunately I don't have much HP to spare, but I hope it becomes successful.
Looking forward to this game too!
Especially when the game is helmed by @acidyo who is a fellow Pokemon lover as well 😉
A few days late with the delegation of HP since I just got to read up on more details on how to do it!
But better late than never right? 😁
Thanks for sharing! As a lifelong pokemon fan I'll be checking this game out for sure!

Oooh I have nearly 600 "extra" HP. Am I even maximizing my earning potential thru my curation? Likely not. I'm still mostly clueless as to what I'm doing besides commenting, writing the occasional Splinterlands article, and trying to make a few daily posts on inleo about dance music and fantasy soccer/football.
But I don't have the bandwidth or desire to get into a new game. I'm just a one trick pony when it comes to TCGs, and even my 30yr Magic hobby has now taken a back seat to Splinterlands. Should I engage just for the tokens to earn some yield? My gut tells me to hold my horses and focus on the writing and curating that's beginning to make more sense by the week. Nobody needs another person outside of the game just accumulating tokens for profit to dump on the actual game players when the time comes to launch.
