Elon cast the first stone. Now Zuckerberg is following suit. He is introducing subscriptions to Facebook.
In this video I discuss how we are seeing a shifting if chairs on the Web 2.0 ship yet there is nothing novel with what they are doing. Ultimately, it is only going to take traffic from other sites. Hive is Web 3.0 which brings new things to the table.

I am done with pretty much all mainstream social media. Since I have dropped Twitter and Facebook off my phone, my mental health has improved greatly, lol. All hail Hive!

I guess Zuckerberg is playing around lol, the best is good enough they should all try hive while they can instead of them running around the bush.
Am a new bee in the community Mr taskmaster nice meeting you indeed right about what you said hive is web3 which brings new things to the table
Couldn't he eat some of the costs by making everything happen internally and the payments outside the system be like over a threshold? I don't think that is any different from other systems but I do think that it's unavoidable to have a minimum threshold. Even on hive, if we want to move out of the system, we have no choice but to eat the transaction fees.

Zuckerberg is not a leader... always jumping on every other idea. He doesn't lead, he simply follows.

Well I prefer the hive platform because of its decentralized nature.
The only good thing about Facebook subscriptions is that users can verify their account with government IDs. This feature might be useful for people who want to protect their accounts and their identity. But of course, not for people who want to remain anonym.
