USDT To Bitcoin (Lightning) - Why?

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

I have long tried to frame Bitcoin in the proper light. We now have another affirmation of what I have claimed over the last few years.

Tether annunced it will bring USDT to Bitcoin and Lightning networks. Why is that happening?

This makes sense for Tether but it also highlights a flaw with Bitcoin itself. Why is a medium of exchange if BTC serves as that?

We dig into it.

Here is the article mentioned in the video:

Many people do not prefer to use the BTC lightning network somehow.

If they're going to start running other cryptos on Lightning, they should also add Litecoin, which they used to develop it.

Why USDT over Lightning?
How does this work?
USDT is an Ethereum token, one of the first. How can it be on Bitcoin Lightning unless it's wrapped|? Or swapped instantly to Bitcoin , transmitted and then swapped back. but why? People can simply convert their fiat into USDT and transfer it via USDT blockchain (ethereum).
