HIVE had a bit of life pumped into it as the Koreans sent it upward. Enjoy it while it goes on.
In this video I discuss what is crucial to us going forward. We keep harping upon it but there is no way around the need for extensive development.

The question is why do the Koreans keep pumping Hive?
They most likely use HBD to get the interest rate and have it as a portfolio of stable coins to minimise risk. As HBD is also scarce they like to have fun playing chicken in a pump and dump casino.
Got ya. Thanks
This reminds me of the early 2000s when Apple was innovating, yet it wasn't reflected in the price of the stock.
I remember Steve Jobs saying he wasn't going to waste time trying to figure out Wall St. but that Apple was going to continue developing great products anyway. And the rest as we now know is history...

To do something similar, we need great products first. Splinterlands is maybe one of these great products.
No doubt about it. It's just the first of what I hope will be many compelling products built on Hive.

I know we always blame it on the Koreans but I guess a pump isn't all that bad. I do think that Hive should be priced higher but I think it will take another adoption of new users before that happens.

Another lesson on the Hive pump that we can learn from: have some liquid Hive and HBD to trade during such periods. This time I had a few Hive tokens liquid and while I've sold during this pump, if I were to buy back now I would make a 10% profit. Not too shabby for 24h trading, but this shows we should be prepared for such events.

I always loved this song 😁 And it sounds really nice very early in the morning!
I didn't really notice this pump :-(
My bot has been buying Hive when it was around 0,75-0,8. By doing DCA and buying some extra I can sell this batch at 0,7323... We're still very far away now at 0,5311 !PIZZA

So when I hear your video, having sold at 0,63 the recent drop has been a good thing for you?...
In general I'm on your side that Hive is undervalued now and I strongly believe in its future. Indeed we need Bitcoin to go up first and than more marketing around Hive (the difference with Facebook to get back to another example hyou've been speaking about). What definitely needs to change on Hive in my opinion to make it more popular and accepted is to make it more User Friendly... There are too many complicated features, to start with the signing up process already. Is there really nobody who can change this? !CTP

He highlights the temporary nature of price pumps and emphasizes the importance of focusing on the long-term development and value of projects like Hive. The speaker mentions specific projects and developments within the Hive community, underlining the significance of innovation and long-term sustainability over short-term price movements.
Detailed Article:
The video begins with the speaker addressing the recent pump in the price of Hive, acknowledging the excitement and temporary uplift it brings to the community. He mentions selling some of his Hive holdings during the pump, anticipating a price drop to buy back in and increase his holdings. The speaker discusses the psychological impact of price movements on market participants, emphasizing that price fluctuations are not indicative of long-term value.
Moving on, the speaker speculates that the pump may have been driven by traders, possibly from Korea, taking advantage of market volatility. He stresses the importance of development and innovation in the cryptocurrency space, drawing parallels to the evolution of platforms like Facebook and Twitter. The speaker highlights the need for a robust smart contract platform within Hive to spur growth and attract more users.
Further, the speaker mentions ongoing developments within the Hive community, such as the upcoming hard fork, SPK Network initiatives, and proposals for additional funding regarding Honeycomb. He underscores the importance of community engagement and innovation in enhancing the value proposition of projects like Hive. The speaker also mentions his efforts to create a financial system that incentivizes holding Hive Power, seeking feedback from the community and collaborators.
In conclusion, the speaker encourages viewers to enjoy any short-term price pumps in Hive but cautions against attributing significance to them beyond speculative trading opportunities. He reiterates the message that long-term success in the cryptocurrency space depends on development, innovation, and community involvement, rather than short-lived market movements. The speaker signs off, expressing hope for a great day and hinting at future discussions.
