The West is not happy that Russia is benefiting from Bitcoin mining.

In this video I discuss how Russian companies mined $3 billion worth of Bitcoin. Like all countries, the government is a partner in each business via taxation. The Russian government collected $555 million in taxes from the Bitcoin miners.

This is upsetting to some in the West.

HaHaHa LOL I find this so funny, watching them flop around like fish out of water.
You know the Russians didn't mine a single $USD it was all taxed in Rubles which they will use to trade with China for more bitcoin miners... lol

You know, Hillary really loved the Russians a few years ago when she was selling them all that uranium.

I find it humorous how a bunch of fossils in power try to deal with technology. Then you add in they are all power hungry elitists who want everything their way. When something shows up out of their control, they go crazy.

I would love to be a fly on the wall at some of those meeting just to hear the scheming and raging that must go on. But you are correct this is one technology they cant control... short of Armageddon that is lol ;)

I think we gain some insight when we see the reaction to a Russia. When another country does it they are more public about their distain at the threat to their power.

We need to keep pushing things further out so these entities are powerless. After all, the US government still cannot stop file sharing.

When crypto was not as popular, I've heard of stories that it was used a lot in the black market. I don't know how true that was, but even early on, it already had the potential to circumvent government meddling. It is difficult to control because of the P2P trading. We are seeing it at a bigger scale when a government is using it to go around sanctions. Even without centralized exchanges like Binance or Coinbase, they wouldn't have difficulty finding buyers of their BTC, even if it takes some time. I agree that the US and other governments can't really do much against it.

What is a black market? Only what the government says it is. Hence, governments that are not in favor with the one making the accusation, in this case the US, is a black government I guess.

When we look at what other countries do with crypto regulation... If kamala is elected, USA will continue to fall beind like this.
