The Future Of The Automobile Industry

▶️ Watch on 3Speak

We are seeing a changing of the guard. Many expect the traditional automakers to simply kick their production of EVs into gear and crush Tesla. This is not panning out to be the case.

In this video I discuss how we are seeing the "one who know how to build cars" falling further behind. This is really going to completely upend the industry within the next couple of years. We can expect a lot of fall out as the tentacles of the auto industry are clipped.

I know Tesla is far ahead in battery technology but how far are they ahead in the autonomous vehicle space? I know they did separate from a company they worked with in the past so I don't think the lead is as far on that end.

Hard to guess since nobody knows what it will take to truly crack that code.

However, I view it that we are still in an AI world of Big Data and faster computation mashed together. Hence I believe that Tesla has the most data and they are building Dojo.

That should help keep them in the lead.

As to changing consumer behavior, I think there will be more electric cars.

I think that is evident at this point.

This is quite the contrast to the usual narrative that Tesla will be surpassed by GM anytime they decide to enter the Solar industry. I must admit that as much as I respect the size of General Motors I think the technology is quite complicated, including the AI software for self driving cars. I think Tesla will be a front runner for many years and since the price of it's vehicles comes down each year it will soon be a big competitor in the sub 30 k region and sell lots of cars

It isnt even the self driving capability. We look at the projected output of EVs by GM, using their own numbers, and it is 1 million EVs in 5 years.

Tesla will come close to that this year and is scaling at an astronomical rate. Where are a lot of Tesla's future sales coming from? Old GM owners.

How is the company going to operate, with its debt load, through an era where its ICE sales are declining and it has declining EV market share?

Plus they are looking at spending $35 billion to get to the point to produce 1 million EVs.

This is massive:

We look at the projected output of EVs by GM, using their own numbers, and it is 1 million EVs in 5 years.
This is quite a head start:
Tesla will come close to that this year and is scaling at an astronomical rate.
They might be better spending this on Bitcoin:
Plus they are looking at spending $35 billion to get to the point to produce 1 million EVs.

Thanks for the information.
