What is there to figure out? It is already established. The US dollar already has the elasticity and price stabiliy, two factors that will only grow as the network effects grow even more. WIth the introduction of stablecoins, monetary creation is pushed further out on the spectrum. We will likely see a lot of innovation.
Of course, people still look at the US dollar as currency. That is the mistake.
Assuming that the US dollar is going to maintain stability and is the absolute best we can do seems like a weird take from anyone who's been here for a significant length of time. In fact the entire reason USD isn't a currency is exactly why it's primed to fail. Putting dollars on a balance sheet without actually having dollars is a great way to experience systemic failure.
