As for the players and cross pollination.
So this is club football and just like a normal job where anyone can work overseas and play for who they like.
But in international football (like at the World Cup), you can't change.
If you win your domestic league, you earn the right to play other domestic winners in the UCL as well.
What is #UCL?
We had that last week or so. How is that different from #epl?
I think it was an italian versus english matchup.
The football world is divided into geographical 'confederations'.
European nations - UEFA
North America - CONCACAF
South America - COMNEBOL
Asia - AFC
Africa - CAF
Oceania - OCEANIA
#UCL = UEFA Champions League
All the European domestic league winners play in a cup competition against one another.
More money, more prestige.
So the #epl (English Premier League) is the top division in England.
But every single country in the world also has their own domestic league and pyramid system.
Even the USA! (link in next reply)
---> USA pyramid
There's no promotion/relegation between the US pyramid, but one day there will be.
You might have also seen the #ucl trending?
That's the UEFA Champions League.
UEFA is the European confederation which is made up of all the leagues in Europe.
