The US economy adds over 900K jobs in March. Unemployment down to 6%.

Are we in for a V shaped recovery?

Perhaps all is well.

I don't know. They fudge the numbers too much so I will wait for Stevan Van Metre later today to explain anything happening. At least I will get more accurate economic data when it is put together.

The unemployment data is not worth a ton other than for trends. Plus we know that people who fall off the ranks are not counted any more.

I will have to look up what the true employment numbers are.

Plus, the devil is in the details. We will see what the job creation markets are. I am going to guess they are more low end jobs.

Here unemployment has reached its peak .

We are having "jobless growth" right now .

I wouldnt be surprised if that was actually happening in the US also. The numbers might not reflect reality to be honest with you.

Hehe that's what the government is saying right now to defend unemployment crises .

That smells like they are covering up the reality. If the situation is so difficult with the pandemic, I don't think the unemployment situation is improving. For example in my country we are in total quarantine and unemployment is increasing, the crisis is worsening and there are no solutions.
