Distributing power.
The push towards decentralization is on. The energy sector is dominated by centralized entities. Musk is trying to change that.
A distributed power grid is much more capable of delivering the power we need in his view.

This is a cool concept. Generating and storing energy at our homes. Not sure how well they work but distributed power could take the load off from the current centralized system and create competition.
It could become a great revenue stream for regular folks like me only if we could afford it. Their devices are not cheap and I think there are better alternatives available in the market.

It depends on the cost. If it is unprofitable, I see no reason to take the deal. I just see too many people say its not worth the effort.

Tesla makes devices for wealthy peeps IMO. Not much for a common regular guy like me. Although I like their products a lot. Their approach is quite futuristic.

Well I think it could be fine but honestly, I think they need to make the solar plans more attractable. My parents refuse to get solar since they don't think there is any savings or not enough to make the effort.
