Yeah it is rather interesting. The case is in the hands of the judge so maybe that sped things up.
We will see how this unfolds. Of course, whomever loses will appeal which will end up dragging things out.

I think it has a good chance but Epic could always appeal if they lose. It will only require more money and time.

Whichever side loses, I think you can bet on an appeal.
It seems like the judge was hard on Tim Cook. Perhaps that is an indication of which way things are learning.

From the limited research of this case I have done, I would not be surprised if Epic is successful in its antitrust claims against both Apple and separately Google. Time to open the floodgates....

You are right. If Epic prevails, I would expect a ton of class action lawsuits to start rolling out. This will really put the major tech companies on their heels.

Yeah hard to like them since they want to do the same thing to the metaverse. They are looking at being a gatekeeper too.
So it is really Goliath against Goliath in this one.

I think in the name of security, Apple is shoving its selfish guidelines on app owners. App owners and users should have the freedom to choose multiple options & services available in the market.
