RE: Leo Talk 5/25/21 - Come Join Our Chat (Part 1)

The elusive self driving vehicle. We have heard that this was always coming up, yet seems like it is always a bit out there.

It seems we are in for more years (and a lot more money) before we get there.

Sort:

I rekon we skip self driving cars and move onto teleporters. It's been how many decades and still no one has produced the goods. Time to move onto the next best thing.

Can't have many uncompleted projects lying around.

Things don't go always as planned so I am fine waiting. I always expect the data and the fine tuning to take a while either way.

True but with the resources that these people have , it shouldn't be that great of a difficulty in training I suppose .

We have already built stuff which are navigating themselves in space ( I mean yeah that is easier than on earth because on earth we have to deal with stupid people .

There's just so much to consider. And yes, I believe stupid people are a huge factor.

Well, as I've said before, as fast as technology is moving, the real world won't let it explode until the generation of politicians who might understand how to profit from it get into office. That means it's always going to move a lot slower than it should.

In other words, we need fewer old politicians.

Indeed. These career politicians have been sucking up "contributions" for years. They're all set for life but their greed knows no bounds. Especially now that they've basically reached the pinnacle of influence. Biden, McConnell, Pelosi, Schummer....they are all corrupt. And they've been "helping" these big established companies maintain the status quo if not outright axing their competition. These new companies with new technologies are getting in bed with the younger politicians who understand their tech. When they reach higher levels of influence, then it will be time for some of the techs to enter the mainstream. Cynical, I know, but....follow the money. It all gets pretty obvious then.

Self-driven cars are closer than we think, the century isn't over, there's more to come. I think there's just so much to consider. I usually think about emergencies and traffic jams on Lagos roads in Nigeria. Self-driven cars would need Jesus on those roads.

Yea, looks like we're gonna have to wait on that one

That is a shame. It would be nice to have a self driving car. I can not get a driver's license because of my vision. It would save me money on Uber!
