I watched a YouTube video on Chrome for the first time in a while. Damn did it suck. It was a 10 minute video and there were 3 ads during it, one for 15 seconds.
I usually watch them in Brave where all ads are blocked.

Lol I would agree. Sometimes I do get stuck with the pre-roll ads on youtube for a few days at a time.

Brave zaps all the ads for me. It is the only way to deal with YouTube.

It usually zaps them all for me but sometimes it just seems to run the pre-roll ads then goes to the video. At worst it wastes like 15 seconds.
