I thought the first Aquaman movie was great, even if it was cheesy at times. It was definitely superior to Suicide Squad & BvS. Since I don't want to spend $ to see it, I need to read up on the 2nd movie.
The genre is not dead, but it's sucking wind. It's 1 thing 2promote the underrepresented; it's another 2redefine established characters+stories just 2cater 2 D underrepresented. This is Disney's mistake; it's becoming cinematic Bud Light.
To be honest, I think it's dying everyday. There's nothing novel anymore, and so people don't feel the vibe they are selling. I didn't even know they started filming the second part.
I think it is going to be dead in the same way Western is dead. It's not that they aren't going to make such films, they just won't be as popular and as successful as they were at their heyday.
I mean the first one was bad enough
LOL exactly... do we really need more of that?
I will go with your analysis since I didnt see it.
Not sure the last super hero film I saw.

I didn't even know it was being filmed... I kinda like that actor but the movie was just bad
I have been watching #hollywood a bit more of late, from the perspective of its decline.
This is just another stake in the heart of it.
Anything that is worth the time or all garbage?
Based upon what people who watch the crap say, nothing.
The studios are losing a fortune than have the strikes to contend with. #disney is really turning into a dumpster fire.
Oh I completely stopped following that strike thing. So it's still going on... I thought they would have come to an agreement by now
No. There are two, the writers and actors.
Neither appears close. My guess is the studios do not care to settle.
