Four years ago Luke Perry, another 1990s television star who, by coincidence, had his last time, also died relatively young, succumbing to stroke at the age of 52.
We can still enjoy the series and remember the good times it brought to viewers worldwide over many years. He's the first to die, but he won't be the last only because we all end up that way some day.
You are absolutely right, somehow he will always be remembered as long as the program is on the air, and yes, the truth is that he will not be the last, we will all be gone someday.
Given Bruce Willis' current neurological condition, it's better if he didn't learn of this loss, or if he learned but soon forgot @ it. He & Perry hit it off between the big screen & his limited guest run on the series. Sad day 4 both men.
He can't be? he passed away? he was still young, besides every time I can I watch Friends, it's one of my favorites and I still have fun with it.

What a shame really, excellent actors that gave us a lot of hours of entertainment, how sad.
