For every non-english speaker, writer I recommend Grammarly browser extension. It's free and corrects small mistakes on the go and suggests correct words.
I second this. It's a great tool!
Just amazing. Made my post writing process a lot faster. The best thing is the user actually learns by using it since rarely other users here are correcting our mistakes.
peakd implemented AI translation for posts, didn't test it, but i think good translations and implementations are just around the corner
Yea and hopefully soon enough we will also get (almost) real-time audio translations. That will be huge
problem with those are that you are not sure what you said :D had a situation in Greece where i had to use speak translation, it was not great but it got the job done.

Have found the AI translator on PeakD as my token was included in part of a French community. Agree that such implementations are getting closer.

That word has been used only 6 times on Hive according to #Ecency's Advanced Search, which makes the word looks so difficult to understand. 😅

We do learn, I've improved a lot here, but there is a lot of people that haven't even had contact with the English language besides maybe a shitty class on high school.
It depends what your priorities are in life. One of my main one was always to learn English as high as possible :)
That is mine too, but we can't pretend all the Latins or others here have it as their goal or even have access to learn, maybe they have internet but not the time, or are already old not feeling like learning something so complex now
If someone don't want to then just left them there. If scrolling TikTok is more enjoyable then absolutely fine, good luck with that :) I think that 70% of society should be Sheeps and just follow the overlord, which is fine too.
That's a little harsh. My mom is here, she can't learn English right now but she cares about Hive and translates everything, she doesn't use tiktok nor anything else. Why not make it easier for her when it's totally possible?
Nothing personal. I am mostly saying about new generation that is just lazy. You see your Mom is able to do that so anyone can right? But yeah I am not against it, I am just saying that it might push people to learn different language.
I want the easy access for people like my mom, but I do share that opinion about the younger generations, they shouldn't even use the option to change language and leave that for those that actually can't learn English now.
I stopped using translators long ago, also I only consumed English content on youtube for two - three years, and that is how I learned it. The ones with at least my access to internet and resources (that is not much) can do it
I also know some people that just can't haha the language section of their brain barely does their native language

I think if all communities should start hosting spaces, that means different languages must be put into consideration because not everyone would fluently communicate in English as they love to express themselves in their native lang.

The reason I brought this up is because dApps can be developed to run within a phone browser. Thus, bypassing the app store.
Ah yes. That is where a lot of devs are going..with progressive web apps that are desktop based but are geared to phones.
I think if you run a browser on a phone and go to a page, you are accessing a web app not a mobile app, even if you login with your phone, but yes this is a way that we can access dapps with phone that need to be considered.

I agree. I thought the same as soon as I saw the chart you included on the article. It surprises me because Brazil is like top 3 in social media usage. We need to bring people from web2 to web3
Yeah. Is the economy in Brazil fairly strong. I know VZ and Argentina are a mess.
In comparison, we are a lot better than those, but not exactly in a great spot. We just had a change in government and that's always challenging so we will see how things go in the next year or two.

I notice some people quitting play 2 earn recently due to the market being crushed. I'm not one to judge or advice but I'm not doing any of that. Gaming is a HUGE market and we barely scratched its potential. There's still much more to come

Language toolkits for UI are relatively easy to build. Takes longer to fill out the preprocessor language UI pages (i.e. all the Spanish UI elements) than it does to set up the logic.

I've sometimes had chats on Threads with Spanish speaking users. If I see an interesting post in Spanish, I just run it through my AI extension and then do the same to my reply.

We have PlayStore, AppStore, GalaxyStore, we need BlockchainStore for Dapps, with no centralized control like apple or google over the store.
Such a store may be provided decentrally. Dapps are usually offered through websites themselves, github, or other "hubs" that are in relation.
Maybe we can have a Hub on hive.io or something like that , so users can trust the apps thats the main problem about downloading from any page
We do have something of this nature in relation to Hive projects. Just moar of websites to go to as opposed to apps that we don't as many of.
Once there is a default language set for a Hive User's profile in settings, that logic can be used to auto translate content into the defualt language of the user.
This is the main idea i wanted to say, the default profile option, then we will not have not translate with 3rd party stuff, thats big, just one time option and you have your first lenguage
Another alternative is to join the push into the Linux phone market. Another anti-corp avenue that puts ownership , privacy and control back into the user. I actually want one, as a side phone, for now.

Grammarly great app i also use it, No idea about Mobile Translation really, im more a PC user, but i guess is harder to set it up, i think there is a mobile version of grammarly
You just have google translate app open in the background on your phone and just swap between them. That is what I do :)
