Lets fill this up!

That is the goal. It is monday so the day to start the week with a big number.

I do have to run out for a bit so my activity will be thwarted a little.

Do you think $XMR and the likes of it will rise into prominence one day and there will be a time in future where privacy oriented coins will gain much traction?

I think XMR is going to integrate #tradfi.

So I dont comment on the price but I see it as a way to tokenize (transfer value/settle) for the banks.

Scientists in China have built a robot capable of performing critical tasks using an artificial brain grown from human stem cells.

The brain-on-chip was able to learn basic tasks, such as moving its limbs, avoiding obstacles and grasping objects, according to the researchers, while exhibiting some intelligence functions of a biological brain

Very interesting stuff taking place. It is going to be fun to watch where all this stuff goes. A lot of hype at the moment but there will be some breakthroughs.

I have a bad local network at home. I bought a new Xiaomi AX300T router that should take over as the main router, and I will move the old TPLinks to the ends of the network.

While some are complaining about the dip, firms are buying into $BTC:

In a latest delivery, Japanese public firm Metaplanet buys another $2.5M of Bitcoin

Many are buying the dip and loading it. Fun to watch.

Really fun to see that millions of $$ worth of $BTC are purchased daily.

just imagine barely 10 years ago blackberry was one of the best phones and the latest as at that time, now look at the world today no one is using blackberry anymore.
Do you think iPhone would have the same fate?

Something will replace it. I have no idea what will replace the smartphone but there will be something. I am going to guess it has something to do with mixed reality.

Yeah you're right, let's see how the future of ios would be, anyways time would tell.

To me, #apple is the wild card in this. They have enormous amounts of data, a huge customer base, and a lot of money.

They have been relatively silent on the #ai race so far.

You are finding some terrific stuff.

Open source AI should be allowed to freely proliferate and compete with both big AI companies and startups. There should be no regulatory barriers to open source whatsoever. Even when open source does not beat companies, its widespread availability is a boon to students all over the world who want to learn how to build and use AI to become part of the technological future, and will ensure that AI is available to everyone who can benefit from it no matter who they are or how much money they have.

What happens if you shoot down a delivery drone?

As deep-pocketed companies like Amazon, Google and Walmart invest in and experiment with drone delivery, a phenomenon reflective of this modern era has emerged. Drones, carrying snacks and other sundries, are being shot out of the sky.

Incidents are still rare. However, a recent arrest in Florida, in which a man allegedly shot down a Walmart drone, raises questions of what the legal ramifications are and whether those consequences could escalate if these events become more common.

If you think GPT-4o is something, wait until you see GPT-5 – a 'significant leap forward'

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman sketched out a tantalizing idea of what people might expect from the eagerly anticipated GPT-5 artificial intelligence model. He attempted to balance optimism and caution in his comments, but his vision of the new model's potential underlined his confidence that GPT-5 will represent a substantial improvement over its predecessor, GPT-4, and won't face unresolvable issues.

"I expect it to be a significant leap forward," Altman said. "A lot of the things that GPT-4 gets wrong, you know, can't do much in the way of reasoning, sometimes just sort of totally goes off the rails and makes a dumb mistake, like even a six-year-old would never make."

To prevent the risk of China achieving global AI dominance, we should use the full power of our private sector, our scientific establishment, and our governments in concert to drive American and Western AI to absolute global dominance, including ultimately inside China itself. We win, they lose.
