Embracing the Micro-Improvements: A Journey of Self-Discovery
You're sitting on the edge of the bed, trying to have an honest dialogue with yourself. The little voice inside says it's "pretty disgusting in here." You think, "Well, I'm way above such trivial niceties as organizing my room." But then, you realize that's just pride and arrogance. If you're above organizing what's actually yours, how can you ever hope to organize anything else?
So, you get on your knees and decide it's time to start with the basics - taking a brush to the toilet. These micro-improvements, these real, on-the-ground, actual changes, can lead to unbelievable progress. But the key is to not get stuck in resignation, to not lose hope.
Many people are unaware of how much better, more present, and joyful their lives could be. We all have been given something to bring to the planet, something only we can do. If we don't fill our lives with this true identity, these gaps will be filled with "garbage." Success is getting what you want, but fulfillment is living what you're made for.
You can train your brain to appreciate the good, even in the midst of the frustration or fear. Be your own motivator, and build yourself up. Remember, you don't experience life - you experience the life you focus on.
Just like exercise and healthy eating, the process works, even if you can't measure the results in the short term. Embrace an "infant mindset" and let go of annual goals. Instead, visualize and feel your dreams as if they are already here. This will stir up something within you that will never go back to sleep.
You have greatness within you, a presence that waits and listens to the voice of your genuine self. Recognize this greatness, and no one will ever pull your strings again. You were created on purpose, with a purpose to manifest through you. But you must exercise authority and dominion over what you are not, in order to fully embrace who you are.
It's difficult out here for a lot of people, including myself. Many are hurting, going through dramatic changes in their lives. But you can't be surprised by these things - you need to be prepared. It's all about how you deal with it, how you overcome it.
You must have the ability to rise up from the ashes of negativity, doubt, and fear. These things are designed to pull you down, to break you. But not on this day, not on this watch, and not for the rest of your life. Continue to shine, do your best, and be the best version of yourself.
Your emotions can play tricks on you, so take advantage of your life and take control of it. Reason takes time, but understanding and dealing with the ups and downs is crucial. When your purpose starts to knock on your door, that means you have made it. Do your best to lead to that purpose, because we are not here for long.
Success doesn't owe you - you owe success. The work takes time, but are you prepared for the test? Are you prepared to fight, to live, to push through even when you feel you can't? You need faith, power, gratitude, and humility, but you must always stay hungry and keep going.
