It's not every day that a startup walks away from a $23B deal, but that's precisely what happened when Wiz rejected Googles reported offer.
Google had good news and bad news last week. The good news was that the cloud division — including Google Workplace software as a service and Google Cloud infrastructure services — generated $10 billion for the quarter for the first time. That had to take the sting out of losing out on its second potential $20+ billion acquisition in less than a month.
