Here's a reality check for these cynics (and Bloomberg for favoring them): world models. They're in active development now and when they come into play, AI is going to be screaming powerful. That's because AI will no longer be relying on web crawls to be told that a ball bounces. Instead, they'll have that AND a physics model to turn to that confirms a ball bounces AND know how according to its material and what that bounce does to the floor. AI is just getting started.
