Adult Time Parent Gamma Entertainment Acquired by Euro Conglomerate Byborg
Online entertainment company Byborg Enterprises, headed by Karoly Papp and registered in Luxembourg, announced its acquisition of Canadian adult conglomerate Gamma Entertainment.
Byborg also owns LiveJasmin, one of the world’s most dominant cam platforms, as well as LoyalFans, and recently signed a long-term license agreement with Playboy.
We’ve known this was coming for a while. Gamma has been drowning in debt for a long time, and many insiders lay the blame on the Adult Time business model.
If the name Karoly Papp sounds familiar, that might be because Papp/Byborg is one of the big players in Europe, alongside WebGroup (WGCZ Holding) — a Czech corporation that owns not only XVideos, BangBros, Flirt4Free, Xnxx, and Private, but also DDF Network — the biggest company in Budapest — and LegalPorno, one of the biggest studios in Europe. And of course, WebGroup purchased Penthouse for $11.2 million in 2018.
