With a 270° panoramic vision, the cockpit has cognitive assistance for automated route planning, real-time airspace monitoring, and precise landing, as well as single-stick handling.
The ground module, a six-wheel electric vehicle, is equally advanced. Powered by an 800-volt silicon carbide platform, it boasts a combined range of over 1,000 kilometers and functions as a mobile charging station, supporting up to six flights on a full charge. It has a roomy four-seat cabin, electronic dual-swing doors, and a futuristic “lunar rover” style. It also fits into regular parking places.
XPeng is stepping up its autonomous driving efforts in addition to its mass manufacturing plans, intending to outperform international competitors this year with its Level 3 vehicles. The business intends to launch Level 4 features in its EVs, such as completely driverless parking, by 2026.
