This is really good news.
Safety is paramount on the roads, especially for huge, heavy vehicles that can do a lot of damage in a split-second if things go wrong... so obviously all the tools available should be used for automated systems in chaotic environments likes roads. Really pleased to see Tesla testing this out.
I dont know how more people are not killed by semis on highways around the world. The size of the vehicles and weights, especially when transporting fluids like oil trucks, is immense.
Still going to be a couple years before the Semi is of any impact.
