Things move in cycles. That cannot be denied. Markets go up and they go down. This is true with all of them. Nothing goes in one direction.

In this video I discuss how many people are mistaken because they buy into the headlines the financial media promotes. All the doomsdayers tend to be looking at things from a cyclical stance. Yet, when we step back, we see an entirely different story.

I generally don't look out a decade out either. At most I might take a look at the monthly charts for my trades since sometimes those daily and weekly charts don't give you enough information.

Trading is a different scenario. But when we are trying to figure out what is taking place, short term focus rarely provides the story.
