HOW THE ROADMAP HAS BEEN SO FAR
The Pi Network was drawn with a three-phase ROADMAP from phase 1 the (beta) to Phase 3 the Mainnet.
At the 3rd phase the phase was splited into 2 different stages, which involves the Mainnet stage, made up of Enclosed Network and Open Network the launch period started today 20th February 2025.
THE BETA PHASE 1
The Pi history was marked In December 2018, as Pi network publicly listed the mobile app on google playstore store and other major app store including the website for the download of the Pi networks mobile app.
As an alpha prototype that onboarded the initial Pioneers. On Pi Day, March 14, 2019, the original Pi Whitepaper was published, marking the official launch of Pi Network.

THE NEXT PHASE (TESTNET)
On March 14, 2020, the Pi network started a new phase in the development of the network as marking another critical preparation as the plan in transition to a more decentralized blockchain making a live Testnet with distributed Nodes from all over the world.
Pi Testnet along with the accessible Node software not only enabled the testing of the blockchain but also initiated the decentralized building efforts by the community to create utilities using Test-Pi.
PHASE 3, THE ENCLOSED MAINNET
After the phase 2 the core team set up to the final phase on the project as they set up to process to kick off the last phase of the project with enclosed Mainnet.
This period began in December 2021. The Enclosed Network period means that the Mainnet is live but with a firewall that prevents any unwanted external connectivity. Pioneers will be able to take time to KYC and migrate their Pi to the live Mainnet blockchain while the community builds apps and utilities on the Enclosed Mainnet for the network.
FINAL OPEN MAINNET OF PHASE 3
As the Open Network period began fully today 20th February 2025, with enclosed network ecosystem open for connecting from the other nodes and the progress of the network’s KYC.
This means the firewall in the Enclosed Network period has be removed, allowing any external connectivity from other networks, wallets, and anyone who wants to connect to Pi Mainnet from today. This means that exchanges can officially list the Pi networks coin on their exchanges.

Pi was listed at 1.2 USD per 1 Pi. at the time of this post the price has dropped to 0.9 USD per 1 pi.
