Should i sell my dcity and rebuild?

in LeoFinance4 years ago

Hello everyone its teenagecrypto and for those of you who have been with me for the past few weeks know about all the stuff I'm trying to do to grow my city. So a thought popped in my head this week. I was thinking of selling my city and rebuilding it. What do you think of this and do you think I should do it? I would really love to hear all your opinions on this. Also If I do decide to sell I am looking for buyers so if you are interested let me know. Currently my dcity makes 347 sim daily which calculates to 1.66 hive daily at current prices.

I have also seen several cities doing well generating much bigger income and thought maybe I could do the same. I don't want to take there ideas but instead change it up and see what works best for me. This will be a big change for me but I'm ready to do it if necessary. All of the funds I'm earning right now are going to my college fund / silver investment fund. Maybe even join a contest once in awhile. Right now I'm stacking up hive power and leo power which is helping a lot in my recent growth spurt. So I want honest opinions on what I should do and I also would love to thank you all for the support. I couldn't have done all of this without you guys. So once my vote becomes bigger I will spread the cheer.

Thanks for stopping by fellow members of hive and leo. I just posted a new youtube video if anyone wants to check that out. I post mainly gaming content like roblox, call of duty, and sometimes memes.

It is child friendly and I try to make it entertaining.

Thanks again

Yours truly, teenagecrypto

Before you decide to sell and rebuild your city, I would calculate (with simple excel sheets) how much Hive you spent on your current city.
Then I would calculate how much you could sell your cards for (maybe check last traded prices) and calculate how much hive it would cost to rebuild your new, planned city. If it's cheaper and gets you to earn more SIM, go for it. If it is more expensive and you get less cards, but produce more SIM, then I would calculate a break-even time I'm comfortable with.

Like let's say I lose about 10 Hive when selling and rebuying my city (SIM converted, 800 SIM = 4 Hive).
I would calculate:
If I kept my old city, how much Hive am I currently producing?
If I get my new city that produces more Hive, substract the Hive I would have got from the old city from my new Hive income.
With the difference, the new "extra" Hive, how long does it take to recover the lost 10 Hive?
Then I would've got my break even point from which on I'm better off with my new city than with my old one.

The most important part is to find a new, clearly better layout for the city that is much more efficient.

Generally it is also best to either get low or 0% crime rate if you get building that can get robbed - or only get them if you can get enough so that 1 robbing = 1 day of production.
The worst would be to have 1 bank, 1 shopping mall, 1 casino - each of which can get robbed but they need to procude 1 week worth of SIM to get the robbed money back, so if you get robbed more often they actually lose you money.
So in case of banks it is best to get at least 5 of them - they produce around 150 SIM and in 1 bank robbery you lose 150 SIM, so if you get robbed less than every 2nd day they are profitable.
In case of shopping malls too, maybe only get them if you can get enough of them to produce 75 SIM every day, the amount you would lose in case of a mall robbery every 2nd day.
OFC the other easy solution is to just get crime rate down to 0... or risk losing money and converting your citizens to criminals.

You might be doing more harm than good in starting all over. You've got a decent SIM income, more than double mine, and what appears to be LOTS of workers. I would say just modify your existing city. Sure maybe sell some of your cards that you may not think you need but not if it's going to affect your income. Buy farms.
My two cents.

I sold and now I'm making more than I did

Impressive!

Still got more workers waiting to be bought but my sim income has been higher.

The president raised taxes so it went down just a tiny bit. Currently I'm making 397 sim daily.

No I bought cards that I thought would increase profit
