I don't normally give downvotes on Reddit...

I think downvotes make people go with the masses instead of developing and expressing their own opinions out of fear of being downvoted.

I especially refuse to do it on messages that are unbiased and just provide information about the topic being discussed.

The world is honestly going down the dumpster when instead of discussing things, people would rather downvote or hate other people because they provide information or facts on a topic that the person downvoting hates.

What happened to this generation that instead of discussing topics and information and trying to come to a reasonable agreement, they would rather ban, downvote, or cancel!

I was a big reddit user in 2018, but when I found Twitter, now X, I stopped using it so much, I still go there from time to time because most of my country's community uses it to share financial information, Twitter is not so big over here for finance matters...
