That's kind of sad that your friend won't invest in anything that doesn't have a celebrity endorsement. Sometimes celebrity endorsements are even worse because they have the air of credibility but might be a complete scam.
Tell your friend to do his own research, and stop doing what influencers and celebrities tell him to do. Seems like an even easier way to get burned.
Nothing I hate more than investment advice or politics coming out of the mouth of celebrities. On top of that, they're actors for a reason. Their job is to make you believe something and that especially holds true for endorsements!
I get corporate-backed blockchains for investments. We are trying to change the face of finance here though. Again, just because it's backed by a corporation doesn't make it better. We're also seeing the FTC and SEC go after these celebrity and corporate-backed blockchains as well.
I get his reasoning, just seems a little silly though.
