I hope you are all having a great weekend, I know I am! I really don't have much planned, so I have some time to work on a few projects around the house and yard. Then later maybe watch some college football games later on in the afternoon. A perfect Saturday!
Because it's Saturday I will be sharing another Saturday Savers post just as I have over the last few months. I joined the community because my goals here on Hive were really kind of nebulous. By actually writing down what I wanted to achieve and report on it weekly, it really has helped me to grow my account significantly. I recommend to anyone who wants to grown their account!
Let's jump into the numbers for this last week...
Hive Power
It's been a good week for me in this category. I started the week with 5,359 HP. I now have 5,468 HP, so up 109 on the week! Ironically, that was the exact same amount of increase that I had last week as well. Consistency paying off? My primary goal for the year was to hit 5,000, it felt good to finally pass that barrier. I'm going to try to reach 6,000 HP by years end now, and I think I have a pretty good chance as long I keep posting six times a week.
PIMP
My secondary goal of the year has been to reach 50,000 staked PIMP. I was on track early in the year buying up chunks at good prices. Then all of the sudden the prices started to climb and have continued to do so making it difficult to buy as much as I would like. I am currently at 31,429, so there is still hope, I just need eighteen thousand and change!
What I like about the token is that it's the only token here on Hive that is backed by physical silver. So no matter what happens it will always be worth something.
Leo
I set this side goal a couple months back, it was to reach 1,500 staked LEO by year's end. I currently have 1,554 LEO in total so I have already passed the finish line. I think I will try to make it to 2,000 staked LEO by the end of the year now. The big advantage to that is it provides me with four chances for a stake based curation from InLeo, which is a nice perk of staking LEO!
HSBI
I passed my goal on this one long ago, I wanted to reach 2,000 HSBI units by the end of the year and I now have 3,107. So I have beaten this goal soundly by more than 150%.
I'm up 42 units on the week, another good week in adding to my HSBI stack. It really is nice to get curated daily on my post from the initiative.
Just over a year ago I had a grand total of 11 HSBI and I really didn't even understand well what they were. That prompted me to do some research and figure out what HSBI does to help you out in growing your Hive account. Since that time I have done giveaways on my posts and even have one weekly post dedicated to give out HSBI. I also began to sponsor other initiatives like Three Tune Tuesday, Nineties Friday, and Shadow Hunters which also really grew my HSBI numbers. You can never have too many of these, for those unfamiliar with the program keep reading below!
For those of you new to Hive or unfamiliar with the HSBI program I have some guides to help you out. When I started blogging I had no clue what they were and had to search around until I stumbled on a post that explained it to me. That's why I include this every week to help someone out if they still don't understand the program.

SIM
SIM is a great token that is used to govern the dCity game. One of the bonuses of holding the token is that you receive daily dividends of liquid Hive once you hold enough of them. I think the minimum is 8K, but don't quote me on that. I currently hold just over one million and when I free up some extra cash I will be pushing to two million. But keep in mind this token is inflationary so you may lose value on your principal, just an honest FYI.
DUO
Now I want to talk a bit about a token that I helped launch here of Hive not too long ago. Along with @bulliontools and @bitcoinman , we created the DUO token. The purpose of the token is to accumulate enough Hive Power to be able to use a portion to support new onboards and help retain them through encouragement and with curations. We currently have more than 25,000 HP in the curation account, and are starting to make our first onboarding efforts.
DUO token holders receive by far the greatest benefits. Once you have 200 staked tokens you can receive a daily curation on your quality posts and receive daily liquid Hive dividends. Once you stake more than 500 DUO you also can use the DUO tip call to tip someone with some DUO, and in return you get the same amount of DUO in your account. It pays to tip others with DUO!
I currently have over 1,100 of these and will be continuing to purchase them. Once this tranche of tokens sells out the price will jump from one Hive to 1.5 Hive each. My advice is to buy in early while they are less expensive! Plus you will make money as soon as this batch sells out due to the price increase! All Hive from token purchases in locked into Hive Power and will never be powered down.
Other Tokens
No big changes here, I am continuing to collect DBOND and DAB. I have both my DBONDs and DABs staked, so the staked DBOND produces more DAB, and the staked DAB produces more DBOND. So they are slowly growing. With EDS I'm just continuing to hold just about 100, I would like to increase my EDS holdings at some point to over 200, but with my investments in other projects it's been a challenge since EDS isn't cheap. I will get there yet but it may not be until some time next year. This may have to become a new goal for next year!
Silver
I have always loved collecting silver coins and have done so since I was a youngster. My father got me into coin collecting early and it's been a great hobby. The nice thing about silver items is that they well always have value because they are a precious metal. Silver isn't just used to make coins and jewelry, it's widely used in electronics and the photography industry. Industrial demand for the metal is constantly increasing making silver a great bet to invest.

Silver has gone down a bit in the last week as the stock market surged after the election. It's a nice break in silver prices to buy some more before they surge up further. I'll be picking some up this next week for sure! There are many great ways to invest in silver, from old coins to silver bars, new coins and even old silver cutlery. I like to share an interesting find in silver each week that is pretty cool and not too expensive, and this week it's a silver round saluting BTC!

I know I might sound really unbelievable right now, but how are these HSBI actually used?
Just curations, the one downside had been as the price of Hive has dropped so has curation values.
Yeah it's saddening, I remember back in 2021, curation was golden on Hive.
