I've introduced many people into crypto over the years, and what is simple to me is very difficult them at the beginning. Then once they start some give up because it's too hard. The same is true of Hive just like you said. You can help them past the first hurdles but some will flourish and others will just give up. I have someone I'm going to try onboard next week, I'm crossing my fingers...

All these politicians want power and control, and I will vote non-custodial all the time even though it does slow the growth of crypto. The whole point is to have control of your own money. When you deposit fiat in the bank technically it ceases to belong to you, it's the banks money. I would hate to see that happen to crypto. I do agree with you though, one side will win out.
I think it's a slow burn process.
Most people need to learn the hard way, unfortunately.
