It started as freedom money for cypherpunks to smash the central banking cartel.
Now it's digital gold for governments and institutions powered by an army of greed-blinded prosperity gospel worshipers, still pretending to be freedom money.
It needs to pick a lane. Can't be both.
Which one is Bitcoin to you?
Well, from the moment $BCH decided to split from them, Bitcoin stopped being a currency and has become a Storage of Value... Still offers more money freedom than Fiat, but not really. !LOLZ
It actually started before that. I was living 100% on Bitcoin, unbanked, and left a whole year before BCH was created.
I didn't notice it until BCH people started claiming they WERE the real Bitcoin, I found it absurd, until I researched, and thought: Hey, they have a point.
I would agree, though "the real Bitcoin" has changed. BCH is more original, BTC is the real one, but the real one is different than it used to be.
Yeah, as you said. The way I see it, $BCH is not the real Bitcoin, but the real Bitcoin lived long enough to become the villain. !LOLZ

Would be very hard, we have a DAO for a reason (which would have prevented the Bitcoin takeover).

Interesting, I would do an authentic voiceover that doesn't sound AI, and add in some B-roll. Opus has some interesting tools for that.

I don’t really think bitcoin is going to end up as freedom money but in the process of becoming digital gold it will create opportunities to build our own freedom money that it failed to be. I’ve always seen bitcoin as an agent of chaos more than anything and it’s proven to be just that. It’s not going to solve all our problems but it helped clear the path
Yeah true, it does work as a Trojan horse to up-end the old financial system.
Also, Bitcoin-denominated tokens on other chains can still be freedom money.
