The official Litecoin account on X wrote a long post being hyper-critical of Bitcoin maximalists and their backstabbing ways.
Just like the Monero maxis, the Bitcoin maxis are quickly finding out that their years of bullying, scummy moves, and trashing competitors are coming back to bite them.
Burn enough bridges and you get stuck on a slowly-sinking island, with no one coming to save you.
Here it is, worth a read:
Jack Mallers calling Ripple a private company lobbying for its own benefit. If Ripple is in fact a large XRP holder, It's a fair point. I don't know that for a fact though.
What's your stance on the distribution of XRP? was it fair? or did they give themselves a large pre-mine like $TRUMP token?
Genuine question.
Ripple is XRP. The company is the sole issuer, distributed the whole supply that's out there so far, and still has massive quantities.
The token was called Ripple, with the same logo as the company (that fidget spinner logo), until they got scared of the SEC and renamed it XRP after the ticker, changed the logo, and started a massive astroturf campaign to make it seem like a real coin.
But no, Ripple and its token are incredibly centralized and permissioned.
So do you agree with what Jack Mallers said then?
I think it's a fair statement.
I don't think there's only BTC. I support Dash, HIVE, maybe Monero too, because they are freedom money. I also think btc maxis can be incredibly toxic.
But I feel like I'm with Jack on this one.
I'd love your thoughts on the next Digital Cash Rundown. I'm honestly and humbly trying to find my stance on all this.
Sort of, he's right for being anti-XRP, but he's also openly lobbying for an exclusionary trust to benefit his own bags.
i.e. he's right but he's no better than what he's criticizing.
Look up @litecoin on X, they've been viciously calling him out for backstabbing recently. They brought receipts.
I keep hearing about of all this backstabbing in the crypto community. What's wrong people? Don't you see we all have a common adversary and its not each other. Lets do better.
I agree, but you know human nature. People compete against each other for advantages.
Isn't he lobbying for a Bitcoin strategic reserve though?
Anybody can buy/mine bitcoin and Jack didn't get a massive premine.
Sort of, but he runs a Bitcoin-only business, surely owns a bunch himself, and has ingratiated himself into several governments to promote and give value to his business model.
He's doing it again, trying to use government to keep out competition.
