Not every proposal goes through. Many good proposals have failed to get funded. It's all a popularity contest. you have to be in the top voted proposals to get a part of the daily funding that is available and now Blocktrades makes it where he basically has to approve.

ya not every goes through because we have the return proposal now? there's a standard set no?
well it's not a perfect system but it's better than just letting hell loose? if you have a better way to do things suggest it and push it ;3
No, there have been many projects in Hive's history that hasn't gotten funded because they didn't get the votes to get funded. The DHF (Decentralized in name only) has been a center of debate from the fork anyway, so the whales are just closing the circle even more. It doesn't help the chain, it only centralizes those funds between the people at the top.
hmm then I'm not sure. Can only say the smaller people gotta step up and power up and stand up.
hive is great hopefully they don't ruin it ;c
Bro, Blocktrades has nearly 27 million HP worth of voting power. He literally has the controlling stake in the DHF if he is throwing his governance weight around. Please tell me how that is good for the chain? So basically to get funded, you have to beg for Blocktrades's blessing. It's complete centralization and bad for the chain, period. You will never get me to think otherwise. Major downside to proof of stake.
ya but if not wrong he already took his vote off the return so it's not really an issue. I think he just did it to get attention and hope smaller people are also paying attention to proposals and caring more about the chain. idk i could be wrong
Is what it is. I have been around since the Steem days and the whales pulled the same kind of stuff over there too. Nothing has changed. If that was his intention, then I think he needs to tell the community why he did that.
wow since steem days. then you are really og o.o ive only been here really like last 3 or 4 years. let's just hope for the best :(
