Downvoting happens. It could have been a situation that a downvoting trail hit you. This means that me person downvoted you and if they had people that followed their downvoting trail, then they all would have downvoted you.
Downvoting is just another form of curation and can be used as the community sees fit. It’s trying to protect the chain from spam, plagiarism, and now people are downvoting for AI content. We want the rewards distribution to be earned fairly, well as fairly as possible.
There is a group called Hive watchers that likes to think they are the plagiarism gods and if they see you are not writing your own content, they will blacklist you hard. And they are not pleasant people to deal with either. But this is in an effort to protect the rewards pool from crap content. That being said, I don’t know what got downvoted, but generally there is a reason for it. It would be nice if those that downvoted would leave a comment as to why, but that rarely happens.
I don't use AI for writing my articles and I don't even know how. Even if I would know how I would still not use it because it's not useful, authentic, moral, and normal, all the more here on HIVE. I was primarily downvoted on posts on peace, health, and music (it seems those who downvoted me are not Paul McCartney fans and not very charitable either although they are very, very rich here on HIVE).
The reason why these sort of people downvote is because they can and because they want to show something to the world, specifically who they are, which is fine by me. I don't think they would leave a comment as to why they downvoted because they are far too important and far too rich to even consider replying to minnows here. They just downvote because they can and because they like this very, very much. Would they have such a well developed conscience and emotional intelligence as to why would they downvote on peaceful posts which were original, well written, and did not include any insults towards anyone? Of course, not. Because, as you say, downvoting happens, and, as in real life, it is the most economically powerful that will hit hard the poor people. Why? Because they can, because they don't care, and because they like it very, very much. That's what they live for, right? Just some thoughts...
P.S.: If you just check my HIVE blog, that is you have the time and would like it, you will see what exactly got downvoted.
a) it was not spam;
b) it was well written in English;
c) it did not contain insults or hate speech of any sort;
d) it adhered to the general rules here on HIVE;
e) it was about peace;
f) it was about Paul McCartney (those users must really hate The Beatles but I don't quite think they are Rolling Stones fans either);
g) it wasn't written at all by AI (I haven't even installed ChatGPT or whatever that's called; one former university groupmate of mine showed it to me last year and we both laughed at it, that was the entire experience I had with it testing it a bit);
In addition, they are very rich users which means they don't care that much about charity, peace, music, original content, minnows, etc. It's just their way and their way alone and if they want to downvote you they will because that's all they can do on your posts. In general, if I don't like a particular topic or post here on HIVE I leave it alone. I am more into appreciation and not downvote. Obviously, this is what sets me apart from those very, very rich users even though I am a minnow and believe me that I am very grateful I am not like them. That is a blessing to me! All the best! 🙂
Looks like you are getting hit with a downvote trail. Most are not very big accounts. There is one that has some weight to it, but none of them are what I would consider “Rich” on the chain. There is one Orca hitting you, but again, looks like part of a DV trail and that individual may not know that their account is downvoting you.
Hmm... very interesting. Thank you very much for letting me know. I really appreciate your help! I would only call it rich in comparison to me, naturally. And, of course, rich financially here on HIVE by my standards of analysis and comparison with the little I have. Not that that would matter now... I see what point one made and he is right. But I did not intend to cause harm to the community or do something against it, on the contrary. I'll just limit myself by one post a day here on HIVE, knowing it's not such an open space as I once used to know it... Thank you very much for your concern and all the best! I didn't read comments, just looked at downvotes, but yeah, looked like you were posting ALLOT. For 'posts' I would limit it to like maybe 3-5 a day, I would do 5 MAX. But then there is Ecency Waves and Inleo Threads where those short form Twitter style posts are technically 'comments' so it's not effecting the rewards pool as much as people don't tend to vote very high on those. So have at it with those, lol.

Yeah, I normally do 1-3 major posts a day and then mix in some short form Waves or Threads
