Do I need to post it through the InLeo interface to be eligible? If so, I'll do that next time. If not, I'm more comfortable using Ecency interface, but I'll try writing on Leo from time to time.

Yes the idea is to post via inleo.io so you can compose it in any front end and once all is done you can copy it and bring it to inleo and paste it from here.
