HBD Savings Report November

Savings claim time!

With a total of 5 posts in the past month, I didn't expect my HBD savings to grow much. I ended last month with 212.650 HBD after claiming and with just 5 posts having an average pay out of 10 bucks each, there was little room for growth.

But as we were facing a serious issue where our home was cut off from water due to our landlord apparently not having any contract (read: there was an illegal supply of water for 15 months!), the priority to find another home showed me that I was most likely going to need some more funds to cover for the deposit and other things needed when moving. To unlock a few hundred more HBD, I sold some HE tokens into HBD as an emergency fund.

Determined not to touch it until I really had to, I managed to grow the HBD more than double. Three weeks ago, I was sure I was going to need the funds as soon as a home was found, because most home owners asked for a deposit of one month as well as a few month's of guarantee. Luckily for us, I found a landlord only asking for 1 month deposit so we even unlocked a few bucks to spent on things needed in the home.

Let's get to the numbers.

November Totals

My total HBD savings has only grown over the past month, luckily for me, I didn't have to take out any of the funds because of just one month rent and our old landlord having to pay back our full month of rent and costs. The total before claiming today is: 506.471 HBD.

I have a total of 5.384 HBD to claim this month so that's nice progress!

After claiming, the new total is 511.856 HBD. I'm very happy, as now it's finally starting to look like a little savings fund which can grow slow and steadily. Of course, at some point, I hope to catch one of these pumps where HBD climbs like crazy and be able to sell some for an even bigger return, but even if it's just the interest, I'm very happy with the return.

Too tired for content creation

As I committed myself to these savings reports, to keep track of the status, this is the only reason I'm writing this today. I'm wrecked, exhausted and not even done in this new home because everything is new and I yet have to find a place for most things. Going back and forward from the old home to the new one with a small car was exhausting but we handed over the keys yesterday so at least the old one belongs to the past.

This is the second day in the past week that I had to sleep for hours during the day to be able to continue the rest of the day. I'm drained, really. It also doesn't help that the wind is blowing with 83 km/h currently while living on one of the top floors, lol. It makes me want to dive right back into bed.

My hope to be back posting daily from November 1 didn't work out, and I will probably not show up every day for the next weeks either as I still have loads of things to do and some of them need to be done in person. I'm going to take my time to get it all sorted properly, while enjoying a hot shower when I want, what a joy!

See you soon!

I hope you rest up and are feeling better! Moving is always so draining... Those are some pretty strong winds, reminds me of the time in Puerto Rico when I lived in a penthouse of the seventh floor of a building and hit by a hurricane, than was a fun experience! Higher floors get the wind a lot harder!

I'm glad you were able to finally rid yourself of the nightmare that was the old place you were living.

Man, the only thing I can do currently is to listen to my body because I already had several days where I took a tramadol to ease the pain. I don't want to go back to those pains. But it's not just my back, I'm drained in my whole body, it was exhausting and on top of that I didn't skip a day with my step count reached or more (sometimes double) so it's not weird to feel this way, I guess.

I used to live on the 12th floor for most of my childhood and I remember it could get nasty. This time, we also live at the coast lol, so you can imagine ;)

Now it's time to hunt for a frying pan because the old home came with all pans and stuff like that, now we haven't cooked since we moved in, lol.

Will respond to your other message later!

By the way, great savings you have going on there!

Thank you, I agree haha. Pretty happy that I could leave it untouched. Hopefully, I can keep it this way.

I've got to work on mine too! How are you feeling?

Today, honestly, wrecked! The worst thing is that I feel this way while not seeing much progress because I'm mostly trying to find stuff and check boxes and moving them around because I don't know where to put things. I seriously have to start using my plastic boxes with lid now to start unpacking for real until I find suitable drawers or other cabinets for the rooms.

The one big (custom made) cabinet around the tv is filled with mould due to a leakage which the community is not fixing. We will clean it and then put anti mould paint inside before I can use them and honestly, I'm not too sure what I will put inside it as I'm afraid whatever is in there will be ruined eventually, lol. As expected, this house too has it's flaws. Today I found out the window frame is loose in the small bedroom, slash my office! The wind is bad today, but thankfully on Tuesday insurance comes for that.

Still waiting on the washing machine (hopefully Monday) as she ordered a new one. Which is cool because I can only guess what the old one looked like seeing how some things got ruined by the old tenants. Every day we fix a little thing and step by step things get better. We ordered new beds and matrasses yesterday, so just two more weeks on these shitty ones.

I think until that's changed, I will feel this way because it's taking a big tole on you when you can't rest up properly. The cats are also still not used to the home in terms of behaving at night. I'm afraid to let them in the living room so I take them in one bedroom with me alone so my boyfriend can sleep and won't be awake until 2 AM as he has to work long days. My sleep is suffering from these tiny terrorists, lol. Once the home is not a mess anymore, things will also calm down with them, I'm sure.

How's your weekend so far? We went to the construction market. My boyfriend opened up the couch as it's leather but all ruined, not one proper seat to sit in. He's now taking all staples out to hopefully fix the seats. He already regret starting it, lol it's 10PM and it will probably take him tomorrow as well. Oh well :)

That's too bad but it's true no place is perfect. Hopefully the cats will settle down once they get used to the new home. It sounds like your boyfriend has quite the project ahead for him, and not a very fun one...

Rest up, maybe once you get some rest you can find the energy to really un pack. Moving sucks!

Oh man these little cuties listened to me, one snuggled up against one side and the other on the other side. I can only hope they continue doing this as it brings warmth and I didn't have to stress until I could fall asleep.

I unpacked a few more boxes yesterday, today we will go out for a few hours as the wind is calm and weather is lovely. The couch seems temp fixed but we both don't think it will last long. Let's see.

How are you feeling?

Surviving, limping around like someone shot my foot. Inflammation flared up some more which really sucks, looks like time for more prednisone... I'm glad you have some nice weather to get out and enjoy. Fall weather on the coast never stays nice for too long!

I'm so sorry for the stress these past few days. At least there is an improvement. Keep making greater strides!!

Oh well, the stress was actually a full month but now at least there's an end near because it will take a few more weeks to get things in order in the new home but at least we moved from the old place. I already feel more relaxed here and that's coming from a place of chaos with boxes everywhere, lol.

It looks like Hive will be flying high in the air in 2024

Let's hope so!

Congratulations on your progress despite all your challenges. At 20% APR, every $60 is another $1 per month in interest. Next milestone $300?

Yes, I love how every 60 hbd is another hbd in interest.
Next milestone is probably 750, seeing it's at 511 now.
