Unverified Email
If you already sent out an email at this point on the Listnerds platform, you probably have noticed that when you go to your mail history:
You will see a read "NO" in the verified column.
This will stay this way until the voting window has closed. For us Hive users, this is a familiar thing, we publish content and people can cast their vote on it for 7 days. After the voting window has closed, rewards will be distributed. Until that moment has arrived, the system will consider your email unverified.
I don't know the exact mechanism but this comment from @blainjones should answers some questions:
I personally, can't wait for these pages you're building, as I love keeping track of my earnings and this will help me give more insights in the Listnerds reward mechanism.
Why you want your email verified
Simple! A verified email earns you Listnerds rewards. So we all aim to get our emails verified. Compare it with your Hive content, nobody likes to see their content stuck at a few cents, right? We all aim for a bigger reward that makes it worth our time and effort.
With Listnerds you can see results on different levels though, not only can you achieve better results for the online business you may be promoting, or new followers on your Hive account, let's not forget about the increased amount of views on your content and maybe even more important: the increased level of engagement.
My tip: don't be focused on your Listnerds rewards only but see this as growing your network on various levels. More engagement on your Hive content usually means you will see the rewards go up there as well. Win-Win!
How-To get your email verified?
The Listnerds concept is called "Proof-Of-Mail" for a reason. People will need to verify that there was an actual email. Once enough people have verified this by upvoting the content, you will be eligible for rewards. Important to know here is that you need to have 20 Upvotes, any downvote gets deducted from your upvotes not from your rewards.
So always make sure you have some CTP stake to vote on the emails you received. This means you will share in the reward pool and can claim some CTP each day, plus you will help the author to get the email verified. Remember, once you start sending out emails, you will appreciate this small effort someone made as well.
You can simply vote by clicking on the arrows behind an email once they turn red and blue. It speaks for itself once you have done it a few times.
My first Listnerds earnings came in today
Today I reached a great milestone where I was able to collect my first Listnerds rewards for my email. It takes a week, and the waiting is hard because I had no idea what to expect in terms of rewards for my email. I will share this with you so you won't have to be in the dark about this and have a slight idea what you could expect.
My email was opened 105 times as you can see above, it had 86 clicks so a click through rate of 81.9%. What's interesting is that only 35 people took the time to cast a vote on it. The total upvotes are 31-4=27 as the downvotes are deducted from the upvotes.
Today I finally discovered that my rewards were 7.889 LISTNERDS for this email, meaning that's 15.778 Hive, that's $18.61 with the Hive price today!
Claiming Listnerds rewards
To claim your rewards in Listnerds, click on the Listnerds button on the top of your page.
You will see your Listnerds balances:
In my case, I could claim 10.239 Listnerds, this includes my daily rewards from staking Listnerds. Click on claim. They will be added to your stake:
Tomorrow my rewards will probably be a bit higher thanks to these rewards, which is great as I love the effect of compounding rewards. Now the trick will be, keep sending out emails when you can. In case of a free membership, you can send 1 email a week, premium can send out an email every 3 days, business members can write an email daily and enterprise members are able to send out emails twice a day.
Final note
For those that have joined my team early or just recently, welcome! I hope you are just as excited as I am to build something cool using Listnerds as well as our Hive accounts. I'm hoping to inspire the old-school crew that was using Listnerds before it was released on Hive, to join Hive to maximize the outreach and rewards.
If you haven't joined my Listnerds team yet, you are in luck as I still have a few spots left before I will do a draw for a free Hive Punk among my active team members.
Note: There are 2 inactive members, this means I can't see your username in my list, and therefore your account won't be in the draw as I don't know who you are.
I'm trying to commit to writing more guides so there is more to refer to whenever there are questions. If you have a specific question that needs to be answered, leave a comment and I will try to help you out.
Thanks for reading, and see you on the other side! :-)

So, I'm there and poking around Listnerds, but... is there a use for it other than for mass mailouts for sales and marketing?
Educate people about things, the marketing part doesn't have to be as aggressive and spammy as some of them are btw, I'm personally sticking to my Hive standards and trying to share what I'm doing here on Hive, so honestly I'm hoping to onboard more people to the Hive ecosystem by showing them what Hive is about.
We are continuing to build use-case for the LISTNERDS tokens within the site and across other sites as well!
A most excellent post. It complements the Tutorials on ListNerds well. I will read the rest of the Newbies post as well.
Thanks for the compliments, and have fun reading them :)
Big tip indeed, I was know about this, but have a few things in my head for some days now, but you reached the end goal I was going to take initially. Great content
👍
Thank you and good luck getting there!
What a fantastic walk through and explanation 👏 👌

I heard a lot of great things for Listnerds, and thank to people like you who helped a lot of people understand it more. Guides are great to read especially for beginners or for someone that is still planning to get into the boat like me XD
!1UP
Well, I'm glad you find them helpful!
I really believe you just have to join, and start using Listnerds to find out if it's for you or not, though. Start by opening the emails, voting them.. And take it from there, go as fast or slow as you wish.
Thanks for the 1up <3

Because this is such an awesome post, here is a BBH Tip for you. . Keep up the fantastic work
Great Post and explanation of how everything works! I just wanted to add that the amount of LISTNERDS "mined" is based off of the number of total staked within the site and varies based on the total number issued. All explained in the whitepaper!
Thanks, I added that too :)
