After two weeks of holidays, tomorrow things go back to normal. No matter how much I will miss sleeping in just a bit longer, I always like it when the normal routine is resumed. The kid is taken care of at school, while we work in peace for 2/3 of the day.
Tomorrow I will also see if my daughter's tutor can assist me in some work related tasks that have been lying on the shelve a bit too long.
First, I have to finish our quarterly taxes, plan on doing that today so that I can focus on other things tomorrow.

Is that different where you live? I know as a child growing up in Holland, we also had a 2-week holiday over Christmas/New Year. I think it was the same when we lived in Budapest and now in Spain.
What I didn't know though was that the 6th of January is a full holiday here. Like nothing was open, no supermarket. I had no clue and was left without groceries oops.
I love it when things are back to normal. So far so good for today. Thanks for asking @thisismylife! I know my parents were always happy when school started back up again.
You're welcome, I'm really trying to work on engagement again but it's hard some weeks. Especially when the kid is home lol. I never understood how parents were thrilled that kids went back to school until I experienced how long the days can last if it's holidays.
Household chores continue, work continues for most but the extra chatter while working can be a huge distraction. On the other hand, some days are extra fun, so there's that lol.

My parents used to say never a dull moment when all of us kids were at home.
In the summer time my mom would just send us outside so she could get stuff done.
After we did the chores we were assigned, of course.

Hi Lisa! I can imagine and they were right! We don't have a garden, but at least we now have a balcony and a closed garden area downstairs around our building. So when the kids start to play outside a lot, at least I can safely have my little one play outside when she makes friends here.
No traffic interference and it's the closest thing to a garden we may get for the next few years. It's fine though because it also comes with a basketball court, tennis court and pool! Summers won't be dull anymore :)
Today I started changing my daughter's room and take out some unused toys to see if I can sell them. She's a champ at doing chores, she loves to help :)
