After writing my goals for the year, which is to write two posts everyday and interact more on Hive, the most unimaginable thing happened- my phone fell down and the screen broke. It was hard for me to come to terms with my new reality- I would not be able to write again for a few more days. Its crazy because I had just set a target for myself of Hive.
But I’m back now and I won’t let that deter me. One of the reasons my return took a few extra days was because my salary got delayed. I had been expecting my pay for December but to my utter shock, it got delayed by two days, whew. My first thought was that “Things were going to be tough” but I quickly shoved it down, I know I was going to survive whatever! But this phone situation just taught me a big lesson about my finance.
ALWAYS HAVE SAVINGS!
Don’t use up all your money guys!! Don’t! Even if you are assured of your daily, monthly or whatever form of income. Just have some backup somewhere. It’s been quite interesting how I am not depressed by the situation. I have been out of internet, out of call credit and worst of all, the gas in my house chose a perfect time to finish!
You know, atvthe end of the year, it’s common for people to spend a lot because there are more family gatherings and before tou know it, you’re out. Another interesting situation was that my husband Increased his payment thresholds for his Yooutube channel and so he also couldn’t get paid. LOL
But we are still here, still living, still eating, water is still running, we even got gas recently; thanks my husband’s business.
Here is what I learnt with this entire ordeal:
Like I stated above, have backup money. It is usually hard for me to keep money and not use it. But this has taught me a great deal. In all this, I have not touched ny HP and I feel lile giving myself a pat on the back for that.
Next, have enough food items at home. It’s part of the reasons I haven’t lost my cool yet. There’s enough food innthe house so even though we need a few more groceries, we can still make do with what we have now.
Finally, build good relationships. I don’t want to sound like a motivational speaker (or writer) but honestly it would be absolutely amazing to have friends that can lend you some money when you’re in need. We have had people lend us some money and I am thankful to have close friends and family that care.
So guys, that’s all I have to share with you today! I’m back on Hive, I am not sure anyone missed me though, or if anyone is reading at all, lol but I am back!!!
Thank you for reading
