I never knew that it meant something different. I guess many other communities use similar acronyms and sometimes, you won't know unless you are a part of that community.

2/🧵For musicians, GAS means Gear Acquisition Syndrome and it describes the urge to buy and own musical instruments and equipment. Although there are some serious studies about it, it's often used as a meme and an excuse to buy stuff.
