1/🧵If you are into crypto, when you hear the word GAS you probably thin og network fees but did you know that, among musicians, GAS has a whole different meaning? #threadstorm

Sort:

I never knew that it meant something different. I guess many other communities use similar acronyms and sometimes, you won't know unless you are a part of that community.

6/🧵I'm leaning to the Keeley Compressor Plus. I had good recommendations on it and looking online for reviews, it seems the recommendations are accurate so I may end up getting it

5/🧵Now I'm browsing compressor pedals. I haven't used this effect very often during my career as a guitar player so I'm not too familiar with the brands and models available.

4/🧵I already decided which delay pedal I will get and that will be the TC Electronic Bucket Brigade. It's a new-ish analog delay pedal that they relased around a year ago.

3/🧵I'm currently "suffering" of GAS and I'm on the market to buy an analog delay pedal and a compressor pedal to better shape my guitar sound.

2/🧵For musicians, GAS means Gear Acquisition Syndrome and it describes the urge to buy and own musical instruments and equipment. Although there are some serious studies about it, it's often used as a meme and an excuse to buy stuff.
