Let me be frank with you...It doesn't look good at all.
Despite all our enthusiasm and unconditional support, we continue to walk our downward path with respect to BTC... there seems to be no brake on this trajectory, and, although it seems that HIVE versus DOLLAR we remain stable, it is not due to our "good work " as a blockchain project but to the sheer inertia of the bull market.
I have no doubt that we will reach better price levels in the weeks and months to come, I already tell you that the inertia of the market drags us, for better or worse...
But it bothers me a lot to admit that very little has changed from a few years ago to now concerning our visibility and, why not say it, we are also quite poor in terms of development...
Apart from the fact that, in my opinion, we are the best "social" blockchain out there, very few recognize it besides ourselves.
HIVE is still under great sales pressure, also at these not very succulent prices, and it is we, ourselves, who are selling more than buying...
I am thinking that perhaps we have already reached our destination as a project, I am thinking that perhaps it is our goal, to stay in a safe place and at a relatively stable price, perhaps between 0.2 and 0.5$...
For me this is not a problem, they seem to me to be reasonably good values, that said, we would all like to see HIVE flying...but, as I have already said, we will fly although not as high as we deserve...unless anything changes here that attract investors beyond regular HIVE users.
The biggest problem is that we have almost no one going outside Hive to talk about projects on Hive. Dapps wont do it, DHF is paying so they dont care if new investment comes in. Peakd or Ecency arent even active on web2 social media to promote their dapps. Imagine how insane that is.
Other dapps are self funded so they dont have to do anything nor can you ask anything of them.
Not a single person in our community has any reach in cryptotwitter besides maybe Splinterlands team.
People on cryptotwitter and elsewhere where crypto is being talked about have never heard about Hive. I offered myself to do it, with my dapp, which is basically an excuse to talk Hive, maybe they give me the funds I need to make it work, maybe they dont.
We can say whatever we want but we simply dont have crypto-relevant people on Hive and basically no one right now wants to be it. Maybe in the future, who knows. Maybe VSC does it with Vaultec and Matt.
Thats my biggest hope anyway.

We have been talking about lack of visibility since STEEM era if I remember well.
At that time, many said that development was the priority but...it's clear that development without promotion equals to nothing.
They keep saying that today as well. They will keep saying that for another 10 years.
I know exactly what you mean, Eddie. Frustrating to see Hive still low while other rocket upwards. But that’s mainly the big ones and I am sure that the small coins will follow at some point. I see Hive price go at least to 1-2$, if we can make a new ATH…well this will be the big question and depends on more and bigger investors than just ourselves. We‘ll see 🤷🏼♂️

The fate of Hive as a Crypto or as a social network depends on the users because it is the result of the sum of the actions of all of us here and while some stay on the surface and sometimes swim by sticking their heads under water but not going down to the moderately deep. As long as more people stay on the surface out of fear and ignorance we will not see significant changes but we continue with faith that soon it will change. I congratulate you for this post 💪👊🙏👏👏.

It sucks to see that but I do have faith that Hive will rebound. It might take some more time for alt season due to all the FUD about the SEC rejecting the BTC ETF though.
Just like that people have been waiting for a long time and now they will see that within the next one year their wait will be over and all things will pay off for them if they are just a little bit more patient.

I am so sure of that also that hive will perform much more better in price in coming months to come. The truth of the matter is one thing I love about hive in market performance is the fact that it is not always tied to BTC performance also as it can decide to rise in value on its own
No we don't. Because of the unsustainable HBD interest which I has been critical of since its inception. I really hope sanity would come back to the heads of the witnesses.

It definitely does. It turned HIVE into a Ponzi scheme like Tera Luna. Luna also offered 20% rewards. That didn't end up well for them though.
Personally I think Hive should be able to atleast reach $1 in the next bullrun. Ofcourse nothing is certain, just my personal view.
I agree with you though that some more visibility should definitely help grow our chain.
Tons of HBD are given to existing Hive Projects, why not invest more in attracting and retain new people?
agree with you we are staying exactly the same place as we were years ago.
In as much as we are been optimistic about the future of hive, I still believe hive lacks the needed visibility to compete at that front in social Media handle. Probably it will change in the future
