Poor people fall victim of scammers than rich people because they'd often consider a new opportunity to be the next big thing while going extra miles where necessary. The disappointment leaves them much worse than their initial state.
The issue of social exclusion is much worse. They'd often have this inferiority complex which will not allow them express themselves among people with a higher social status, thus missing out on genuine opportunities due to fear of being judged.

Yes, You understand it quite well! There's this feeling of inferiority in social gatherings. I believe it's a mindset that hinges on their growth thinking that they should exclude themselves is not a great way to go about it.
Perspective is very important. But poor people's perspective always seems to be limited.
