Encryption on Hive is the next necessary step. It's required in order to have true freedom of speech, since that requires freedom of association - which requires privacy. I'll be posting a plan to do this to Hive soon.

Agreed. Blockchain in general requires privacy. That is one key difference between the old server system...
Most data is not for public viewing.
