Chekhov often writes with humor, is easy to read and plunges into the life of the late 19th century. Tolstoy was always looking for something, noticed the smallest details, tried to understand and remake the world around him for the better.

Chekhov's stories, I turn on before going to bed in the dark, on YouTube. Wife also listens)
I don't think I could listen to an audiobook these days - it will go too fast for me and I can't build the pictures for comprehension quickly enough. One of the reasons I don't read much is that it is very mentally draining.
