1/ Good morning friends. I learn intentionally from every experience, including my fun and leisure moments. I play Splinterlands game with the "Reverse Speed Ruleset" and won. The lesson was just priceless. Hop into this #threadstorm let's share thoughts together.
This can be your Monday Morning Motivation
2/ One of Sun Tzu's famous war quotes is that Speed is the essence of War. He explains that you have to exploit the enemy's unpreparedness; attack him unawares; take an unexpected route. This implies being so fast with the execution that the enemy only realizes when the harm has been done already.
However, one of my "most epic battle experiences" in the Splinterlands game is that which suppressed the advantage of speed - the Reverse speed ruleset.
Lesson 1: You Can win even when the odds don't favour you!
3/ I've had several defeats each time I selected this ruleset because I was always obsessed with looking for the monster unit with the best of stats but with a lower speed. I didn't have lots of that in my card collection. At another time, I chose monster units with big stats and with high speed with the feeling that the attacking strength of the monster would overwhelm the speed effect, but I always got it wrong.
Lesson 2: Don't be afriad to do something different
4/ A Summoner Tweak made the whole difference
I've always been a big fan of the water cards and my best summoner is Kelya Frendul because it adds speed and armor to my monster nits. You see, the "reverse speed" ruleset is an anti-win ruleset for me who loves to be the first to strike. Nevertheless, I chose Tarsa summoner for this particular battle. Tarsa is a fire summoner with 4 manna and an estimated power of 20 at level 1. Its power graduates to 2,415 at its highest level - 8th.
Lesson 3: Be Adventurous, there are a thousand ways to solve a problem.
5/ The battle started with two monster units to face four. My lead monster had the shiled ability that reduces melee attack by 50% while the last monster possess the sneak ability that makes it attack enemy monsters on the second line. My highest monster speed was 2 while the enemy monsters fielded a 5 speed monster.
Lesson 4: Face Your fears, there is a might in you
