The only problem Hive has that is presently insoluble is unlimited taxation. Anyone can tax anyone else, and whales can tax anyone into the dust. This DV mechanism is necessary to prevent scams, spam, and plagiarism, but it is intolerable in all other circumstances. It is by this means that >1M people that went to the trouble to learn to use the system (once Steemit, now Hive.blog, or Peakd, or whatever) and start posting and curating content have been driven from the platform since 2017.
As long as such unrestricted taxation is potential, Hive is kneecapped and cannot rise to it's potential.
