Yes, I know, my last post was 7 months ago.
For some reason, I have lost the motivation to post last February. This is one of the reasons I decided to go to HiveFest 9 in Split, Croatia. I figured that meeting old friends and new people active on the blockchain, will help me get motivated again. And it seems that it is working.
The other reason was that I have been in Pécs, Hungary, for 4 months now, and I could go to Split cheaply, driving for 7 hours.
What happened during these 7 months?
As you may know or not, with my wife Kati, we live in an apartment Coquitlam, in British Columbia, Canada, very close to Vancouver. I also own a house in Harrison Hot Springs, 150 km from Vancouver.
This year, after living together for 15 years, we decided to get married, in Harrison Hot Springs.. We chose the date together: it needed to be a Saturday, not on a cold day, and not too late in the year as we spend the summer in Europe. So we got married on "May the 4th". Not that we are Star Wars fanatics, but it just happened that it was the best date.

Many people from our families came to the wedding, including three of my brothers from France, and most of our descendants.
A week later, we flew to France where we spent several days visiting my family. Then we drove to Hungary with my European car.
Kati has a small vineyard in Pécs, in the south of Hungary. Nearby, she owns two small houses. We lived in one while the other one was renovated. Then we moved to the new one, as it was air-conditioned. The weather was extremely hot from the beginning of July to September 10th: maximum temperature higher than 30°C (86°F) and almost no rain.
Because of the high temperature, the harvest was very early this year, but not very abundant. We have 60 litres of white wine and 50 litres of red wine. We will see next year if the wine is good.
HiveFest 9 in Split.
And, as I said above, I went to HiveFest in Split. I drove from Pécs to Split on September 10th. I stayed in a very quiet and modern hotel in the North of Split.
I went to all the presentations, even if I did not fully understand everything.
I met people that I had already met in the three Fests I already went to (Lisbon, Krakow, and Amsterdam): @arcange, @roelandp, @detlev, @steevc, @blocktrades, @gtg. And I met people that I had already heard about: @khaleelkazi, @starkerz, @lordbutterfly.
The Fortune of François Martin, or How to Become a Crypto-Billionaire. Stay tuned.I had interesting conversations with @khaleelkazi and @starkerz, related to a new story I am going to write soon. It is a sequel of my story
Back to Pécs in Hungary.
I left Split yesterday September 14th, and I drove back to Pécs. I took me almost 8 hours to get there. As the famous philosopher Danny Glover said: "I'm too old for this shit".
And I am now in the air-conditionned house, writing this post:

I'll see you later, hopefully tomorrow,

It was a pleasure to meet you again :-)
Yes, it was a pleasure for me too.
Congratulations! I have been wondering about you, and am happy to hear you are doing so well.
Thank you.
I am sure you will appreciate my next story.
I see that you have a good year with many events, the first being the wedding. I wish you a happy life, as pleasant and without boredom!
I am impressed by the trips you have taken and I am glad that most of them were in Europe. Pecs is close to Romania, where I live, and I understand what it's like in the vineyard, where the wine is made and I know what the houses are like where you live.
It's happening to me now just like it was to you, that is, I'm losing interest in writing, and I'm struggling with it. I hope that you too will succeed in returning to Hive and the habit of writing.
Thank you for your comment.
The son of my wife married a Hungarian girl from Transylvania, that he met online. I have been to their wedding in Székelyudvarhely ((Odorheiu Secuiesc) in July 2018.
With pleasure.
You traveled to Romania too!
My wife is also from Transylvania.
Good luck with your return to Hive and let's hope for a stronger Hive.
Congratulations on your leading position of Zing holders.

You are definitely not too old, you've still got the drive for this stuff. You just needed a break and you duly took it. Welcome back on board, friend.
The Hivefest sounds like it was a lovely and interesting gathering from accounts of those who attended. Programs like it helps create more awareness about Hive.

Glad to see you back posting! That's awesome you went to hivefest.
So much wine! Is it being sold or kept?
The wine is not very good, but it is usually drinkable (not always!).
We are not selling it. Over the years, I have brought many bottles to France and distributed them to my brothers and sisters.
Congrats on your wedding!
You and your wife look very happy!
Thank you very much.
Wow, congratulations on your marriage.
You've really been up and about too. Great to see you back, I think it would be fun to see what you do with the continuation of the François story with all the new developments.
Hahaha, that bit about Danny Glover 😅👌
Thank you.
The story will be about video series, AI, and several Hive apps.
Congratulations on your marriage, I read a post where a user was concerned that they hadn't seen your post in a while and was wondering what has happened. Even if you got back, perhaps it was good to have a feeling of Hivefest again
