In einem dreistündigen Podcast mit Joe Rogan erklärt Zuck die Hintergrunde zur Policy-Änderung und räumt auch ein, in der Vergangenheit vor allem von der Biden-Regierung unter Druck gesetzt worden zu sein, Inhalte auf Facebook zu löschen. Vor allem im Zusammenhang mit Corona und der Wahl von Trump.
Im Podcast erhebt Zuckerberg auch schwere Anschuldigungen, Regierungs-Vertreter hätten seine Mitarbeiter angeschrien und sie dazu genötigt, auch wahre Inhalte zu zensurieren, was ein klarer Verstoß gegen den Ersten Zusatz der US-Verfassung wäre. First Amendment. Free Speech.
Und noch eine Ankündigung hat es in sich, die ein Vorbild für viele US-Firmen werden könnte. Meta wird das firmeninterne Diversity-Progamm mit sofortiger Wirkung einstellen und in Zukunft nicht mehr Minderheiten bei Personalentscheidungen künstlich bevorzugen. Zeitenwende.

U turn / X turn at Facebook and Instagram. Mark Zuckerberg has surprisingly announced a 180-degree turnaround, abolishing fact checkers in the US and replacing them with a community notes system like on X instead.
Many see this as a declaration of war against censorship and overregulation in the EU as well (DSA). Trusted Flaggers etc.
In a three-hour podcast with Joe Rogan, Zuck explains the background to the policy change and also admits to having been put under pressure in the past, especially by the Biden administration, to delete content on Facebook. Especially in connection with coronavirus and Trump's election.
In the podcast, Zuckerberg also makes serious accusations that government representatives have shouted at his employees and coerced them into censoring true content, which would be a clear violation of the First Amendment of the US Constitution. Free Speech.

Auf jeden Fall ist es gut, dass etliches ans Tageslicht kommt.
Die EU wird wohl weiterhin auf betreutes Denken setzen und hoffen dass nach Trump die Demokraten wieder an die Macht kommen dann würde es auch wohl in den USA betreut weiter gehen.
I'd say fact checkers in general are not a bad thing and can provide a useful service on social media platforms. However, it would have to be completely independent of any governmental or other influence and it needs to be 100% trustworthy. Otherwise it's just useless or even problematic.
Assuming the statement of Zuckerberg about his employees being coerced to censor content with correct information, then it's a good thing they removed it.
The Zuck interview with Rogan shows the government has been using social media, especially Facebook as a tool to achieve political propaganda. I hope Zuck is able to stand his ground against government intimidation after all these changes he's implemented on Facebook.

This is a war against censorship, the government repeatedly violates the law of free speech. Government interference in social media is not desirable.
