It would be nice if you could teach us, or at least introduce us to the subject. It sounds very interesting and sometimes necessary in order not to lose our files.

Full post or threads?? Im testing also for alternative softwares to do the same thing so i can choose depending on the situation
That's up to you! I'm just curious and would like to learn about it hahaha. I think a threadstorm would be useful to have some notion about it, but for more depth there are the posts.
Ok i will do a short thread! But i want to finish it first so i can be sure that the system is working. Im currently doing an image of a 1tb HDD to a SDD of 240gb. Not a sector by sector image, because i need a same size destination HDD
Im using DriveGenius i have pirated software but i want something free to use and colaborate with it, so im testing alternatives.
Pretty fast, now we have to see if it works! 100GB in 22 min at 3000MB/s left 70GB
I have to restore the file in the new HDD after that
That definitely looks pretty complex! It's good to know that there are alternatives, and I imagine that along the way one discovers the best tool to suit what you need.
To think I knew how to do things like that 10 years ago! 😅
Hahaha im pretty old my friend =P 10 years ago i was doing the same hehe
I just love it!
I have other things also for profit, but fixing pcs is usefull because im also updated for buying my own stuff
It's good to do something you enjoy. Good for you!
Thanks for the explanation and especially for your time, I found it interesting.
BTW the live version of windows i try to run in the pic is called BartPE a windows 11 with no install required, runs from a USB stick
