Yes, Obsidian has this issue. In fact, I'm looking for open-source alternatives to it. I found some and tested them. The closest one is Siyuan, but they're all in the early stages of development.
The awesome thing about open source is that the users can always modify the application to make it suit their needs. I am no programmer yet but it is a start. 😃
I'll wait for them to become more polished before migrating to one. I think I'm going to download Joplin again and test it for a week to see if I get used to using it.
@brando28 and @yahuzah, Joplin is an open source markdown note editor. Kind of like Microsoft's One Note or Evernote if you are not familar with the first. 😄
